I am neither a life coach nor am I looking for one (not yet anyway on both counts). I have a home-based business that uses the Internet as a medium. The “tipping point” appeals to me because it applies to all and not just in a life-coaching career. The concept, while old (introduced in 2002?) is quite new to me. Thank you for introducing me to it.

My tipping point is to reach a massive number (millions) of people. I’m still far from it but everyday i feel better and stronger and with an increasing desire to leave my contribution in the world!

Milana, thanks for the mention here. I love how you are always asking provocative questions that invite people to look at the bigger picture. I know that if I hadn’t asked myself questions like these, I would never have reached my own tipping point.

This thanks is for your latest post and all the great advice you have bestowed upon us. As a 16 year executive coach I’ve had many little tipping points but only recently by writing a book (Well Connected) have I experienced the big tip you speak of. I certainly could have tipped long ago had I heeded your advice sooner.

Milana, you really practice what you say here. I’m always talking to someone about how unique your emails are; you find ways of rethinking how to present your topics from the usual ways, and that makes them noticeably different and refreshing.

Thinking about what would make a client or attendee talk about me to someone else is a great way to make the concept of “being unique” more specific and “visualizable.” Hmm, is making up new words a way of being unique?

I loved your post. The question “what is your tipping point” is very inspiring. For me, it would be having the absolute ease and consistency in enrolling new clients. By absolute ease I don’t mean not having to work for it, but rather having a solid system in place that I can count on to produce big results. I am focusing on creating strategic alliances and on social media marketing. Thank you for your post and the inspiration to move forward.

Thank you so much for your site. Whenever I am discouraged, I turn to you for inspiration. I was a life coach who never really got off the ground in spite of all my coach training. I became a licensed mental health therapist and a college professor (five years now) and the politics of the educational corporate world has put me over the edge. I am getting a second doctorate in Instructional Leadership and Curriculum Design and one of my professors required us to read Malcolm Gladwell’s books, one being “Tipping Point.”
His writing is excellent and very thought-provoking. Once again, I am considering my coaching business and a niche. I am looking into teaching online classes and how to get started. Hopefully, this is my tipping point.
