How I Get My “Million-Dollar” Ideas While Staying Fit

in Coaching Millions Theater, Favorite Topics

I hate exercise…I get bored, I feel like it’s a waste of time; I used to look for a jogging buddy, but quickly realized we have nothing to talk about. Then I found a way to LOVE exercise, look forward to it every day, not need to look for a buddy, and do this in any weather, rain or snow – you won’t stop me! Watch the video above to learn how I get all my great ideas while getting LOTS of oxygen at the same time! :)

Hi Milana,

I find it funny, that the more I listen to you or read about your goals and philosophies, the more things I find we have in common. I don’t have an iPod, but I do have a Palm Zire 72 organizer that holds and plays MP3 files. That’s where I store my books on audio for learning and inspiration. I have books like Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, As You Think by James Allen, The Success Principles by Jack Canfield, The Science of Being Rich by Wallace Wattles, Secrets of The Millionaire Mind, etc. While in the process of learning and changing certain beliefs, I would play these while on the treadmill at 24HR Fitness and while driving. It’s really all I like to listen to these days. I’m also not crazy about exercise, but I know I have to take care of my body. I have the Olympus digital voice recorder, the WS-110 which holds 80+ hrs, I use to take notes of things I had to do or real estate I would see while driving, so I wouldn’t forget. I, however, never thought about combining the two for business ideas while listening! I also like the part you mentioned about re-listening to your recording and writing it down versus just downloading it, for retention purposes. I will definitely try that next, since it makes sense.

Thank you for the wonderful tips and I look forward to hearing more! Create a wonderful day!

Milana,

You are SO right! When it comes to entrepreneurs, this is what I see on the web, in person, in pics…..they’re changing before my eyes. I pics of them at conferences, etc., and they look tired, overweight, blah….nothing like they do on their website…but it doesn’t have to be like that.

Your suggestion of listening to educational business info while walking is exactly what I tell clients (some of them jog too). Or I have them just make this time their meditation or brainstorming time. Kill two birds.

Might I add a component that I will share (a secret ingredient if you will) with you here on your blog. This is something I tell my clients (they are entrepreneurs that want to “present their passion in the body they LOVE!”) they simply must do. Strength training!

Now, I’m not talking about hitting the gym, and the heavy metal, and the 3 hours of exercise. Nope. I’m talking about bodyweight workouts at home. The result…..? You feel strong!

So now you’ve done something to get and feel stronger, headed out with your audio in hand, and you are absolutely unstoppable. Especially by adding the recorder like you said. Brilliant!

I also love the idea of playing it and taking notes on the computer vs just downloading it. Love that.

Would welcome the opportunity to share this method with you further.

Hi Milana,

This is a practice that I do 3-4 times a week! I find walking for fitness also helps to move energy and clears the mind! I usually return home w/ at least one creative idea for my business!

It is interesting how your philosophies and believes align to mine.
I do exactly what you talked about jogging with the MP3 player because I love exercising outdoors. I just have not thought about the recording bit so that you for that.
For a very long time I even was doing my house chores listening to my MP3 player and my husband teased me one day that I will get information overload on my brain (laugh), so I have reduced that bit.
You really do have great advices and tips Milana, God bless you!
