I believe the coaching schools are not doing jobs by not allowing coaches to be entrepreneurs. Every coach training school I’ve seen coaches come out of gives their students great foundation for a $50K a year business, but that’s where it stops. Unless you already are an entrepreneur going for coach training, you may find yourself struggling coming up with other income stream ideas, sadly.

These are some excellent tips! I especially love the “focus on a specific solution.” As buyers, we know this is what we look for, so we must always have a solutions-focused approach as coaches. Thank you for these fabulous strategies for new coaches. You are correct in saying that most coaching schools train their students to coach, not in the business and marketing of their business…. probably because they do not possess that expertise.

I think one reason we always attract students is that 30-40% of our training is cutting edge marketing, branding, niche development, etc. All the coach training in the world will not make a coach successful, if they don’t learn the types of strategies you teach, Milana. Thank you… But when you talk about coaching schools not doing their job…. you might want to say “most” because PCCCA is the exception, as we won’t even certify someone who doesn’t understand both the coaching and business components.
