What Coaching Business Model Are You Building?

in Coaching Millions Summit, Make More Money

Yesterday I introduced the 3 coaching business models. In case you missed the teleseminar, here they are:

1. “Solo Structure”
2. “Six-Figure Business”
3. “Seven-Figure Company”

So, what type of coaching business are you building?

Take this quiz and find out (be HONEST!) :)

- Is coaching your primary source of income?
- Do you talk to people about coaching a lot?
- Do you get asked about your fees & credentials?
- Do you talk to people 1-on-1 a lot during the day?
- Do you focus on your coaching skills more than business skills?
- Do you meet with people in person a lot?
- Do you heavily rely on referrals and networking?
- Are your coaching fees under $500 a month?
- Is your mailing list under 500 people?
- Do you frequently feel busy but not productive?
- Do you feel frustrated a lot during the day?

If you answered “YES” to most of these questions, chances are that you’re building a “solo structure” coaching practice. In this business model your income will almost always be limited to five figures. Many times – low five figures.

- Do you have specialized knowledge outside of coaching?
- Do you have a program or curriculum?
- Do you run teleseminars or workshops?
- Do you offer group coaching?
- Can people buy your information products?
- Is your web site a useful resource for your target market?
- Have you been actively creating created strategic alliances?
- Are your coaching fees between $500 and $750 a month?
- Is your mailing list at least 1000 people?
- Do you rarely find prospects negotiating your fees?
- Are you the only person who works with clients directly?
- Do you feel like you have predictable and stable cash flow?
- Do you frequently find yourself overwhelmed?

If you answered “YES” to most of these questions, most likely you are running a “six-figure business” model – not bad! Now, let’s see if you’re actually building a “seven-figure business” model.

- Do you have a line of information products?
- Do you have a membership-based mentoring program?
- Do you have at least 7 different income streams?
- Do you have a team handling customer & technical support?
- Do you have a team of coaches or facilitators?
- Have you mastered marketing and “rainmaking” skills?
- Do you have a vision that’s bigger than life?
- Do you create buzz and stir controversy in your market?
- Do you get a lot of joint venture and speaking invites?
- Is coaching no longer a primary income source for you?
- Can you honestly say your brand stands out from the crowd?
- Have you created a “marketing engine” that brings new sales?
- Can you walk away from your business for 2 wks easily?
- Do you consistently generate at least $15K a month?

If you answered “YES” to most of these questions, congratulations! You are well on your way to high six-figures and a “seven-figure coaching company!”

Dear Milana,
I am proud that I could build up a seven figure business model in career coaching in seven years. We have a high professional standard, international clients, my entrepreneurship, and a team of very competent people, but at the cost of working 70 to 80 hours a week. In my search for balance and a better way to get new clients, I became a member of your Coaching Millions Club 3 months ago. I am really impressed by the way you are doing business and the value you are offering your clients.

Thank you for the enriching ideas. I will be travelling from the Netherlands to Dallas 23-25 October to meet and learn from you and your coaches.
Warm greetings,
Bert Goos

Thank you Bert – a seven-figure business is an amazing accomplishment! With more automation and systems, reducing those hours is an absolute possibility! Good luck and please keep reading! :)
